United States Air Force Master Sergeant Patricia Pacheco
Master Sergeant Pacheco served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve. She was named the 2024 147th Attack Wing First Sergeant of the year. She earned the Iraqi Campaign Medal as well as the Air Force Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster.

United States Navy Petty Officer Second Class Trisha Stetzel
Petty Officer Second Class Trisha Stetzel is a Communications Specialist and Cryptologic Technician. For 8 years, she provided communication services and leadership to teams in the U.S. and Japan. Petty Officer Second Class Stetzel was awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, 2 Navy Good Conduct Medals, an Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, a National Defense Service Medal, 3 Navy Marine Overseas Ribbons, and a Pistol Sharpshoot Ribbon.

United States Air Force Master Sergeant Angela Matthews
Master Sergeant Angela Matthews was served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. This year, she was named the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Outstanding Airman of the Year for the Texas Air National Guard. In 2023 Master Sergeant Matthews was named the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Outstanding Airman of the Year for the 147 Attack Wing. Master Sergeant Matthews has received the Air and Space Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, and Texas Outstanding Service Medal and the Air force Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster.

United States Coast Guard Petty Officer Second Class Micheal Midgette
Petty Officer Second Class Michael Midgette served the East Pacific Patrol on Newly Commissioned Coast Guard Cutter Midgett. During a crucial operation, he aided in the seizure of 3400 kilos of narcotics with a value of $92 million dollars. This seizure awarded the crew a Meritorious Unit Commendation and Special Operations Service ribbon. In addition, he was awarded with the Achievement Medal, 4 Commandant Letter of Commendation Medals, 2 Good Conduct Medals, a Sea Service Medal, and an Expert Weapons Qualification Medals.

United States Coast Guard Lieutenant Commander Patricia Elliston
Lieutenant Commander Patricia Elliston serves as the Intel Division Chief for the United States Coast Guard Sector Houston Galveston. Also serving tours in both the Coast Guard and the Navy as an Intel analyst. Lieutenant Commander Elliston was awarded the Guard Achievement Medal Gold Star in Lieu of Third, the Coast Guard Special Operations Service Medal Bronze Star in Lieu of a third, and Navy Information Warfare Insignia.

United States Army Staff Sergeant, Bryant D. Williams, Jr.
Staff Sergeant Bryant D. Williams served deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Republic of Korea. Assignments included duties as Field Artillery Section Chief for the Paladin and Howitzer weapon systems. Staff Sergeant Williams served as a Fort Sill Post Combative Instructor as well as multiple positions including Deputy Station Commander and Future Soldier Manager. Staff Sergeant Williams has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Combat Action Badge, and Multiple recruiter awards including the Gold Recruiter Badge, Gold Recruiter Ring, and the Glenn E. Morrell Award, the highest award an Army recruiter can receive. Staff Sergeant Williams comes from a proud military family.

Captain John Cacolice served as an Engineer Platoon Commander, a Company Executive Officer, an Engineer Battalion Operations Officer and brigade Engineer Plans Officer. Captain Cacolice was awarded the NATO Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal. Currently, he is the Executive Vice President of the Houston Regional Veterans Chamber of Commerce, which allows him to support Veterans and Veteran Owned Businesses.

United States Coast Guard Petty Officer Third Class, Ashleigh Timm
Petty Officer Ashleigh Timm is a Marine Science Technician Third Class assigned to Sector Houston-Galveston’s Prevention Department, responsible for the safety, security, and environmental protection of the waterfront facilities throughout the Houston Ship Channel. Petty Officer Timm has been awarded the Department of Homeland Security Outstanding Unit Award, the Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Coast Guard Rifle Sharpshooter Ribbon and Pistol Marksman Ribbon and she is authorized to wear the Permanent Boat Forces Operations Insignia.

First Lieutenant Mark Wilson has served multiple deployments, including Operation ENDURING FREEDOM and Operation ATLANTIC RESOLVE; and serving with our State Partners to include Exercise AMPLE STRIKE and GERMAN AIR DEFENDER. First Lieutenant Wilson was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air and Space Commendation Medal, The Air and Space Achievement Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, The Humanitarian Service Medal, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, The Air and Space Expeditionary Service Medal, Texas Outstanding Service Medal, Texas Medal of Merit, Texas Adjutant Generals Individual Award, and Texas Faithful Service Medal. First Lieutenant Wilson was recognized as the Texas Outstanding Junior Officer of the Year in 2022 and 2024.

United States Air Force Colonel Larry Werbiski
Air Force Colonel Larry Werbiski retired as the Chief of Logistics Readiness for the Air National Guard. He served as a Commander for more than 12 years and was involved in multiple deployments in the Middle East in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Colonel Werbiski supported multiple space shuttle launches and landings and is a life member of multiple military organizations including the Air Force Association, National Guard Association of the United States and National Guard Association of Texas. Colonel Werbiski is also a proud volunteer of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Armed Forces Committee.

Petty Officer First Class Cody Lewis has served 3 deployments across the western Pacific and 2 deployments to the Middle East serving as a Work Center Supervisor and Lead Maritime Watch Officer. Petty Officer First Class Lewis has been awarded Houston’s Leading Petty Officer of the Year for 2022 and 2023 and the Coastal Riverine Squadron Three Junior Sailor of the Year for 2017.

Sergeant First Class Aaron Powers is a Black Hawk Helicopter Mechanic and is currently detailed as an Army Recruiter at the Cleveland Station. He earned the title of Houston Army Recruiting Battalion’s #1 Recruiter for Fiscal Year 2023, enlisting 33 people into the world’s greatest Army. Sergeant First Class Powers has been presented with the Air Medal Award with the C Device, and multiple recruiter awards including the Gold Recruiter Badge, Gold Recruiter Ring, and Glenn E. Morrell Award – the highest award an Army recruiter can receive.

United States Coast Guard Petty Officer Third Class Peyton Caswell
Petty Officer Third Class Peyton Caswell is stationed at the Marine Safety Unit in Texas City where he is responsible for Pollution Response and Prevention roles. During his service he’s responded to more than 50 pollution response cases in the Houston Ship channel and the Gulf Coast of Texas. Petty Officer Third Class Caswell has been awarded the Department of Homeland Security Outstanding Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal and Meritorious Team Commendation Ribbon.

Petty Officer First Class TyShawn Scott served as Navy quartermaster and a surface search & rescue swimmer onboard the USS Typhoon and the USS Dextrous. Petty Officer First Class Scott navigated these ships so that there were no collisions, allusions, or groundings, while also being the ship’s Search and Rescue Swimmer. He is curently working in the Houston Recruiting Division 5 office, where he has won division and station of the year titles both in 2022 and 2023. Petty Officer First Class Scott has been awarded with 5 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and is a Master Chief Bakarian Award recipient.

United States Marine Corp, Chief Warrant Officer Christopher D’Arcy
Chief Warrant Officer Christopher D’Arcy enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 2006 where he completed two combat deployments to Iraq as well as five additional deployments in support of various missions and operations around the world. Upon being selected and commissioned as an Infantry Weapons Officer, he was transferred to serve as the battalion Gunner for the 1st Battalion 23rd Marines, “The Lonestar Battalion” here in Houston, TX. Chief Warrant Officer D’Arcy been awarded 3 Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals and 3 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medals and won the 3rd Marine division squad competition with the 2nd battalion 3rd Marines.

Corporal James B. Cadenhead served 2 deployments to Fallujah during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Conflict Phantom Fury and Operation Vigilant Response and was an Infantry designated marksman, a fire team leader and a combat shooting instructor. His service was awarded with the Combat Action Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and Meritorious Mast Medal .
