“Honestly, I feel at peace. I’ve been going at it for 11 years, so this moment is so rewarding,” North said.
Cole Bynum, 18, exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Junior Market Lamb. The Corsicana FFA Senior has given time and effort to earn this award. He and his Medium Wool lamb have traveled across the state to prepare for this moment.
“Hard work pays off,” Bynum said. “Years and years of hard work and I finally got a banner.”
MARKET GOAT SHOW
The title of Grand Champion Junior Market Goat went to 16-year-old Brynlee Hogg of Lubbock County 4-H. After a suspenseful drive, Hogg and her goat Peanut came out on top.
“My biggest challenge this season has been staying optimistic and positive, but I never gave up hard work,” Hogg said.
Brett “Bruiser” Bowers, 17, from Fredericksburg FFA, exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Junior Market Goat. He said that this accomplishment was a dream come true.
“I feel like I’m floating,” Bowers said. “I’ve been dreaming about this since April.”
