ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run
The 22nd annual ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run kicked off the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ with a pavement-pounding 10K race and 5K fun run/walk on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009. More than 10,000 athletes participated this year.
All ages are welcome to participate in the annual ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run, with entry fees donated to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Educational Fund. With its $245,000 donation in 2009, ConocoPhillips has contributed more than $2.2 million to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s Educational Fund since the race began in 1988.

- Overall Female – Elva Dryer, Gunnison, Colo., 35.09
- Masters Male – Wilmer J. Bustillos, Houston, Texas, 34.06
- Masters Female – Peggy Yetman, Beaumont, Texas, 36.04
- Wheelchair Male – Ramiro Bermudez, Houston, Texas, 28.06
Top finishers in the 5K fun run were:
- Overall Male – Keith Edmond, Channelview, Texas
- Overall Woman – Shynae Godfrey, Houston, Texas
- Wheelchair Winner – Kevin Saunders, Houston, Texas
