The 2008 Rodeo Uncorked! Champion Wine Auction and Dinner was held on March 8, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. in the Methodist Training Center (across from Reliant Stadium).

The historically sold-out event started with a reception, featuring the award-winning wines, and a silent auction followed by an elegant, seated dinner. The evening continued with bidding on the Champion Wines, setting two new record prices. Grand Champion, Stags’ Leap napa Cabernet California, for $201,000 and Reserve Grand Champion, Orogeny Vineyards Pinot Noir Green Valley, for $126,000. The 2008 Champion Wine Auction brought a total of $1,120,900.
